West Pokot clinker plant finally launched

The much delayed KES45bn (US$346.6m) Devki Group West Pokot clinker plant was finally launched on Monday by Kenya's President William Ruth. Adani Group Chairman, Gautam Adani, has announced that Adani Cementation (ACL) will be the name of a new company to set up a 10Mta clinker plant with an investment of INR55,000m (US$809.1m). JSW Group, is planning to set up a 3Mta clinker plant at Chittapur in Gulbarga district, in Karnataka state. Savannah lines up new capacity investments

Savannah Cement, one of Kenya's newest market entrants, is set to build two new plants as it nears exhaustion of its current capacity, managing director, Ronald Ndegwa, said. PT Semen Bosowa Maros officially started construction on a new clinker plant in South Sulawesi as part of its expansion programme.
